Michelle, Lauren and I like to make it look like we can do everything ourselves, but the truth is, we need help! And lots of it. Whether it’s making sure the napkins are folded just right while we’re off helping the bride into her dress, or building shelves in the new StudioWed space, there are just always many more things on our checklist then there is time in the day/week/month/year to do them. But we’re not afraid to ask for help, and we have some of the best this summer. We’re so lucky to have some amazing, enthusiastic and super stylish interns helping us out and we wanted to take a moment to introduce them to you.
Laura Piombino

“Weddings give me the greatest sense of hope.”
A University of Alambama grad, Laura comes to us rearing to go with all of the knowledge that she’s gaining from her capstone course at Emory for event planning. Laura comes to wedding planning out of a love of being involved in the little details that make the event a very special day. She’ll only be satisfied with a job well done if she gets the tingle of seeing the pure joy in a couple’s faces as they see their wildest dreams not only met, but exceeded on their most special day.
Laura’s Style: Vintage modern with a little bit of country chic – clean lines, beautiful patterns, the warm glow from lanterns and cocktails out of mason jars.

“There is always something new and emerging so I never get bored!”
Melissa hails from Marietta, GA and comes ready to hit the ground running after recently graduating from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!). The simple joy and reward of making people happy, plus finding pleasure in the process, drew Melissa to wedding planning, and the ever-changing, emerging trends and ideas is what will keep her here. In her spare time, Melissa enjoys spending time outside, arts & crafts and running – things she also gets to enjoy as an intern at Lemiga.
Melissa’s Style: Rustic, vintage – clean natural elements, unexpected never-before-seen details, and anything that’s environmentally friendly!
