I’m so excited for this weekend. “Why?” you may be asking. Because one of my very best friends is coming to visit me from Nashville. I’ve got the whole weekend planned out. We’re going to go shopping down at Atlantic Station, stroll through Ikea, enjoy an exhibit of the Museum of Design Atlanta, and peruse through wedding magazines! You see, this friend was recently engaged and is getting married at the end of this year.

Though I am a wedding planner, when it comes to my closest friends, I stay out of it unless asked. But I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to this friend’s rustic ideas for her perfect day. One idea that I just fell in love with was her bridesmaids’ attire. Instead of the traditional bridesmaid’s dress, she’s going to put her girls in skirts. Apparently, this trend has been going around but I have never seen it, therefore, I had to do some research. Now I am completely obsessed. This concept is genius! Though skirts can be more on the casual side, you really can go either way with them. Check out these fabulous bridesmaids that decided to go the non-traditional route:

The mix-and-match possibilities are endless! Don’t you just love it?! And of course, your girls can find so many other events to wear these skirts to. Another win-win! I’m loving this idea and I certainly can’t wait to see my friend’s bridesmaids in their country chic skirts.
