    Atlanta Wedding – Katrina & Keinon Par-Ception

Following dinner, Katrina & Keinon took a few portraits on the roof of Ventanas with the beautiful Atlanta skyline as the backdrop.

As Katrina and Keinon planned their wedding, they faced a dilemma that many engaged couples faced – how to limit their guest list in order to have the level of wedding that they wanted. They came up with a genius idea that we were happy to implement – the par-ception! They invited close family and friends to the ceremony and an intimate seated dinner. Extended family and friends were invited to join them to celebrate their wedding a little later in the evening for a party + reception which = par-ception!

We wanted to keep the mood festive and encourage everyone to mingle, so we designed the downstairs area of Ventanas to have more of a lounge vibe. The Savage Garden once again blew me away with gorgeous centerpieces suspended from the walls and windows of the venue.

The stunning cake from Sweet Sensations incorporated the couple’s monogram from their stationery suite and beautiful purple orchids

Guests dined on passed appetizers from Endive and a fun candy station coordinated in the wedding colors.

Outside on the roof terrace, the couple’s monogram was projected on drape and guests were able to lounge outside and enjoy the city view.

By special request for the groom, we had a cigar roller on hand to roll cigars for guests. This was definitely a hit!

The groom gave the groomsmen custom made sneakers with their wedding date and coordinated in their wedding colors.

At the par-ception, to allow guests to feel included in the ceremony, we played a same day edit slideshow of the ceremony on big screen TVs. Katrina and Keinon cut the cake and did the traditional dances at the par-ception, so it definitely felt like a wedding. But the atmosphere was one of celebration and party! Everyone danced and enjoyed visiting with one another.

I always encourage my couples to have a wedding that fits their style and personalities. While it sometimes seems risky, I know engaged couples will never regret looking back on their wedding day and having everything exactly as they had imagined. Thanks Katrina and Keinon for trusting me with your vision and allowing me to bring it to life!

Thanks to Project Duo Photography for all the beautiful photos!
